In terms of financing structure, Mike has years of experience in both the conventional and CMHC-insured marketplaces. His skillset allows for potential transactions to be analyzed in a timely manner, while simultaneously optimizing the capital stack, even when multiple properties are involved. Over the past 20 years, Mike has been involved in over 160 transactions totaling over $4.5 billion in financing, with loan amounts having ranged from $8 million to over $130 million. With this vast knowledge, Mike is consistently called upon as a speaker at industry specific conferences including BCSLA and the Goodmans Seniors’ Housing Forum.
Mike has also been recognized as the leading broker in Canada, and is seen as one of the brightest minds in the country when it comes to structuring financing for seniors housing. Additionally, Mike is a commercial member of the BC Seniors Living Association, the BC Care Providers., and the Alberta Senior Citizens’ Housing Association.
