Mike Chiu graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1996, and went on to complete his Masters in Health Services Management from the University of Manchester School of Business in England in 1999. His involvement in the financing of seniors housing and health care began in 1999, and he has varied from seniors’ apartments and condos across the spectrum of supportive housing, assisted living, long term care and memory care.

Being recognized as the leading broker in Canada for seniors housing, he has been involved in over 150 of transactions totaling over $3 billion in financing. Mike is a commercial member of the BC Seniors Living Association, the BC Care Providers., and the Alberta Senior Citizens’ Housing Association, and regularly presents at the Senbridge and Senbridge West seniors housing symposiums. Mike has been a finalist for Commercial Mortgage Broker of the year with the Canadian Mortgage Awards multiple times, and in August 2015, Mike was recognized as the #1 top producing Commercial Mortgage Broker in Canada by Canadian Mortgage Professionals magazine.
